The Lafayette Symphony’s Lafayette Suzuki Strings is a program designed to introduce and supplement the Suzuki teaching method in the Greater Lafayette area. Located at the Federated Church in West Lafayette, 2400 Sycamore Ln,  Lafayette Suzuki Strings offers a free introductory group class for anyone of any age who would like to play the violin, viola, cello, or bass in a fun and relaxed group setting.   The group class meets the third Tuesday of each month.  The intro class is free and open to the public.

Introduction to the Violin 5:30 – 6:00 p.m.
No instrument or experience is necessary to come to this class and learn how to get started on the violin.

Each month Suzuki Strings also offers Suzuki group classes for students who study the violin or cello.  To register for the violin or cello class for fall 2013, view the post titled “Fall Registration” or email lafayettesuzukistrings@gmail.com.

Twinkles 5:30 – 6:00 p.m.
This class is for anyone who has begun studying the violin or  cello and can play Suzuki’s Twinkle Variations.

Suzuki Group Class 6:00 – 6:45 p.m.
This class is for anyone who has begun studying violin or cello and can play pieces from Suzuki books 1 and 2. This class will play pieces from the Suzuki Method books and occasionally have an opportunity to perform.
