 The Lafayette Symphony’s Lafayette Suzuki Strings is a program designed to introduce and supplement the Suzuki teaching method in the Greater Lafayette area. Located at the Federated Church in West Lafayette, 2400 Sycamore Ln,  Lafayette Suzuki Strings offers a free introductory group class for students who would like to learn about playing a stringed instrument in a fun and relaxed group setting.   The group class meets the third Tuesday of each month.  The intro class is free and open to the public.

Introduction to the Violin 5:30 – 6:00 p.m.
No instrument or experience is necessary to come to this class and learn how to get started on the violin. This class covers basic postures and rhythms in the Suzuki method.

Twinkles 5:30 – 6:00 p.m.
This class is for anyone who has begun studying the violin and can play Suzuki’s Twinkle Variations.

Suzuki Group Class 6:00 – 6:45 p.m.
This class is for anyone who has begun studying violin and can play pieces from Suzuki books 1, 2, or 3. This class will play pieces from the Suzuki Method books and occasionally have an opportunity to perform.
